Our Mission
Taming the Blaze is an organization dedicated to the health and happiness of dragons and their handlers. Our goal is to ensure seamless human and dragon co-habitation in society by training both parties to understand each other. Depending on the specie of dragon, many are sentient beings that can communicate effectively. Unfortunately, most humans lack the intelligence to understand dragons innately, but we’re here to help with that. Our methods are humane and do not cause injury to either party 98.7% of the time. In cases where a dragon has come from a bad home or feral colony, chances of injury are significantly higher than a dragon that has been integrated into human society since hatching/spawn.
Outside of helping the everyday person with their draconic friend, we also have numerous philanthropic projects towards the research of new dragons in the multiverse and medicine for the dragons we have here in our reality.
Dragon Sponsors
We have several dragon sponsors, one of them being Parthurnaax – Leader of the Greybeards in Tamriel – who hopes to see his people recuperate their relationship with mortals after the brutal reign of his brother, Alduin the World Eater.
We also have Toothless, who may not be capable of human speech, but acts as an ambassador and works with children and those fearful of dragons. Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third usually accompanies him, as they are a bonded rider pair.
Human Sponsors
As mentioned above, the Dragon Riders of Berk also sponsor this society. Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third acts as our main speaker for the Norse peoples, and aids in the domestication and/or mediation of wild non-verbal dragons.
In addition, another sponsor is Britneysil Kendov Akatosh who is a dragonkin. As someone who is neither human nor dragon, but something in between, she has a way of working with both parties in their native tongues. She and her sister Lizbeth von Heartford also aid in the research of dragons beyond our reality.
